Monastery Pridvorica

Located in Pridvorica , 28km southwest from Ivanjica, this monastery is the typical example of medieval Raska school of churches and monasteries building, regarding architectural characteristics of the monastery. The monastery was mentioned for the firt time in The Charter of Stefan Nemanja that is the evidence that the monastery is very old. In The Charter of Stefan Nemanja, given to Studenica monastery, Pridvorica monastery is mentioned as nunnery. The fresco heritage of the monastery is demolished.
